He is a creative strategist, with successes spanning jewelry start-ups to jewelry manufacturing companies and is proficient at turning around struggling organizations to achieve profitability under tight financial constraints.
Mr. Brassem is a vocal proponent of the power of global sourcing. In certain industries where ‘me-too’ products are plentiful, Mr. Brassem has proven that innovative and exclusive designs, frequently from around the globe,
can deliver a 25% -- 40% gross profit increase. Typically, exclusive customer-focused designs can obtain significant, long-time competitive advantage and boost brand equity.
His popular monthly columns, written for National Jewelers Magazine and Pro Jewellery Magazine (Singapore) deal, in part,

Before becoming Managing Director of Brassem Global Consulting, LLC, (www.BrassemGlobalConsulting.com), Mr. Brassem designed and launched a ‘killer’ jewelry and watch brand. The brand became nationally recognized through an innovative, horizontally integrated, (“Living Room”) distribution strategy, marketed via shop-at-home, home shopping networks, catalog and web-based retailers.
Through his global design and brand leadership, Home Shopping Network (HSN) produced a one-hour show (Premier), viewed by an estimated 8.5 million viewers.
The brand was sourced in Hong Kong, India, China, Thailand, Italy, Indonesia, Mexico, Africa and the United States. A global jewelry conglomerate ultimately bought the company.
Previously, Mr. Brassem was recruited to turn-around a limping $16 million, 200-employee, multi-plant and financially challenged global consumer brand manufacturer. He implemented, and met, within 60 days,
a 25% sales increase for the company’s three sales divisions. Through innovative brand strategies and turn-around initiatives, the company was transformed from an entrepreneurial operation to a disciplined organization without diluting the company’s mission or brand equity. The company was sold to a venture capital consortium.
