Mastoloni is one of the world’s leading purveyors of the finest quality cultured pearls. It is a third generation business and
an American success story that began over 80 years ago in New York City. In the mid-1920s Frank Mastoloni senior, founded a company
with his brothers and began searching the world for cultured saltwater pearls; while they were still in the experimental stage.
By 1948 he made the move to specialize in what was still a "new" phenomenon and was one of the first in the world to concentrate on cultured pearls.
Over the next 10 years his three sons joined the team. Together they built the company based on the Mastoloni principles of quality,
sincere dealings and innovation. They were among the first to offer North America extraordinary cultured pearls just becoming available in Japan,
the South Pacific and beyond.
A pioneer in creating their own designs, by the late 1970s they established their own brand. Year after year,
the collections signed Mastoloni have been renowned for meticulous design and craftsmanship. In the 1980s the third generation came aboard

comprehensive collections in the world. Mastoloni has thousands of South Sea, Tahitian and Japanese Akoya pearl necklaces in every
imaginable quality, size, shape, color and length. In the 1960s Mastoloni began collecting and matching gem quality South Sea pearls
from Burma (now Myanmar) to create a masterpiece of contemporary jewelry. After 18 years and a lot of searching, they had enough
to create the ultimate three-strand necklace of 107 exquisite matching pearls, ranging in size from 10.3-15.2 millimeters.
This extraordinary necklace, worth several million dollars, is in the Mastoloni archives; until the right owner is found.
